I have been told that it is the Lebanon Cemetery. If it's not, I would like to know where it is located. I will be coming up that way on Saturday Morning from Tallahassee,FL. The surnames I am searching for are the "SIMMONS" of Thomas County. Thanks, Karen
Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo is just north of the city itself - I did not realize that there were Simmons buried there. My ggg grandmother was named Marium Simmons, married James Wilson in Screven County GA in 1826, she is the mother of my gg grandfather William James Wilson who died in Thomas County in 1907 and is buried in Boston GA cemetery. She was daughter of Samuel Simmons and Mary Newport and had siblings Enoch, Margaret and Moses Simmons. Moses married my ggg grandfather's sister. Most of them were in Thomas County at one time or another. Do you think there is any connection with the Simmons family you are researching? Would love to swap notes. dme_aunt@yahoo.com wrote: >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0d.2ADE/1401 > >Message Board Post: > >I am looking for the Pavo City Cemetery.
