Molly, the nearest I can come to your William Ward is this: My 3ggrandfather, William Ward was b. ca. 1753, N. C. His will was written in Sampson County, N.C. He d. 1835/1836 but I'm not sure where. His daughter, Pricilla m. my 2ggrandfather Matthew White and they moved to Thomas County, Ga. It's possible that William followed them to Thomas County, but I have no proof. I have this William Ward's will which proves that he had a son named William but I have no further info on the son. It is very possible that the son is the William that you're searching for.
