My grandmother was born in Boston, GA in 1906 and died in Augusta from malaria and other complications in 1936. She had a sister Zylpha WILSON born in Summerville, GA in 1908 and was murdered in Norfolk, VA in 1953. I know no one from my father's side of the family. He was born John A. Hicks, son of Marion A. HICKS and Elvira WILSON HICKS, born 1932 in Osierfield, GA in turpentine camp. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I would love to interact with cousins and know my lineage. Thanks, Joany

He found an older gentleman who knew this location and agreed to take him to it. It involved a walk down a railroad track to a location where the older gentleman remembered a brick grave vault. The spot where the older gentleman remembered the grave vault was in the middle of a hay field and no trace remained of the original grave. It apparently had been destroyed and no trace remained. My primary need at this time is proof that this Moses (1850 Richmond Co. Ga. Cs., 1860 Warren Cs. and 1870 & '80 Emanuel Co. Ga. cs. had a daughter named Sarah. This Sarah was married in 1843 in Richmond Co. Ga. to a Lucius Jones and therefore was not in the Daniel family in 1850. That would just be a gem. Thank you. Margaret

According to his grandson who lives not too far from me, James was born 7 February 1870. And he died 22 May 1940 in Madison County, FL. , and is buried in the Redding-Hammock Cemetery located in Greenville, Madison, FL. None of his 3 wives are buried next to him. One is buried in Thomas COunty, GA; one in Columbus, GA; one here in Leon County,FL. What line do you descend from? I have info on his children by Lula Allen Methvin as well as her date of birth and death and where she is buried. Ho Hope this helps. Karen
