My husband is descended from the Cannons of Cairo, and I would not be surprised if some of them are in the McDonald cemetery. Is the cemetery between 300 and Pavo? How far off of 300 is the cemetery. Thank you, Debbie

    3. Does anyone know how to go about getting probate files when living at a distance? I live in Pa and through the helpfulness of a clerk at the court have a long list of files that I would like to obtain. The problem is that the clerks are "too busy". Any suggestions? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Small Business - Try our new resources site! http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/resources/

    3. Craigmiles III, Joe E. (1990). The Cemeteries Of Thomas County Georgia However, there are a lot of graves in that cemetery with no markings... some defined bricks or seashells. I don't know how, but in spite of it not being marked, Mr. Craigmiles listed the grave of my 2-great grandfather Allen Spears. So far as I know Mr. Craigmiles' main source of information was grave stone markings... so there are most likely a lot of unknown burials there. There is a book ' of one dozen Sassers and allied families' by Claudia Chitwood Weller. There was a connection to the McCroan family. I do not have a copy, but perhaps the T'ville or Moultrie Library might. No Thompsons were listed in the few pages sent to me, but I was only interesed in Martha. I find quite a few McCroan's in Chipola and Altha FL. My gggrandfather, Henry L Hughes, is buried there with second wife, Zilpha, who is the sister of his son's John's wife, Martha!!! I am looking for first wife, as we can't read name on census. There is also an Edenfiedl family website with a lot of connections to McCroan's.

Will keep the names io mind though. According to census I am told my grandmother Martha had no siblings named Sarah. But hter was a Sarah McCroan daughter of Henry J j McCroan and Sarah J.
