She was born a Rodgers in Fairfield but her father died young and her mother then married a Mr. Russel. I have always suspected that the "darling" part of her name was a family surname. Now I am sure it is. I would appreciate any information about the Dyers, Darling, Rodgers of Fairfield Iowa....I have just started on this line and mostly have heresay. Thanks.
