M. to Sally Gates. He served in CW Co C Reg 2 SC Battalion.Thomas #2= I am also interested in another Thomas Gates, mar to Anne Eugenia Garrick. This Thomas is on the 1880 SC census with a son Jess Morgan, age2, this is my gdad. Thomas is not listed after that so I figured he died between 1881and next census. Both of these Thomases are listed as Richland County SC residents. Any help would be appreciated. I know this is confusing. If you know where they are buried, that would be helpful also. There is a Gates Burial Ground somewhere in Pontiac SC, but I have not been able to find it and the funeral homes are no help.
