MURDEN 10/07/1863 in Franklin Co., IL. My ancestor, Catharine, married Henry "R" Murden, who was a Civil War soldier and died in the war. They had a child who also died during the same period. These could be the same, with the transcriber transposing the middle initial. But in 1866, she married Daniel R. CHUMLEY in Franklin Co. Her last name is listed as PLUMLEE. (There are no marriage records for Catharine Murden to a Plumlee.) I am trying to determine if these Catharine's (Gates & Plumlee) are one in the same, or two different persons.
