Hello rooters! My great-great-grandfather THOMAS WATERMAN GATES born 1821 in New York. He came over the Oregon Trail in 1847 and married CYNTHIA YORK in 1847, settled in Milwaukie, Multnomah Co.,Oregon where they raised 7 children, WILLIAM, LAURA, LAFAYETTE, DON CARLOS,SARAH, EMMA and MARY ELLEN. ALONZO GATES (brother of Thomas) born in 1827 New York came over the Oregon Trail in 1848 and settled in Milwaukie, Oregon, where he and his wife, Ellen lived and raised their family. I am at a dead end and looking for information as to who the parents and siblings were of THOMAS and ALONZO GATES. Can anyone help please?
