I just know that Peter lived in Lafayette until around 1896 or so. he was killed by a falling tree while on a hunting trip, near Gales Creek, Oregon. both he and his mother, think her name was Elizabeth, are buried in the lafayette masonic cemetary. also one of his wives buried there. good luck with your search
