By 1880 he is living in Essex township, Kankakee County, Illinois with his wife and a JOHN PALMER, age 16, listed as servent. John is listed as born in Canada and both parents born in Canada. JOHN, age 7, born Canada, is listed with the AARON PALMER family in the Essex township, Kankakee County Illinois 1870 census. No relationship given. This could be the same JOHN that is listed with IRA. IRA may have had a grandson, FLOYD, who was born in 1903 and died in 1904.
