Marguerite Eva McFate married Elihu B GAtes 14 Aug 1918. Marguerite's family lived in Calhoun Co. MI and apparantely Elihu's family lived in Bexar Tx, how did they ever meet? But Elihu the family says, took his bride back to Texas and she died age 20 on the 19 Mar 1919 for complications of child birth, I am not even sure if the child lived or not? Need help! I believe there were alot of Gates in Bexas Co. TX over the span of some years by the death index I received. Anyone interested in that I will copy, it contains Marguerite's also, maybe I should get a copy of the death and see what the informant had to say. Always more to do. Thanks! Althea
