I believe he may have been born in PA then family removed to the Rowan Co NC area when he was about 4 years old. J.P. supposedly married Elizabeth Bullion and they left NC a few years later, going to TN then KY and on to IL. I am not certain this JP is my 4th great grandfather, his father was supposed to be Jost/Yost Goetz and he had 3 brothers, John, Michael, and George. Does any of this sound at all familiar to you?
