I have an Elihu Gates, which I have not ever found a spick of in any census or whatever, but he married a relative from Michigan, Marguerite MCFATE, who went with him to Texas and died their from childbirth complications the family says. I did find her death in the TX index for Bexar, Texas, but not sure if the child lived, guess I need to go to the county and see the actual record, but what like to find info on her husbands family. Marguertie died 19 Mar 1919. Please if you have Gates living in Bexar Co. TX in the early 1900's or earlier, please contact me! Thanks!!! Althea
