We do indeed have the same ancestry. Galey Arthur was my gr-grandmother's brother. I am still looking for more info. For now, I know that their parents were Horrice Gates and Margarette Louisa Daniel. They were listed in the 1880 census in Limestone Co., AL. Merrill Thomas, Rena Ann, and Galey wound up in AR after starting out to claim an inheritance in Indiana. They never made it to IN. Galey and Rena died before my birth, but I did know Uncle Tom. Stay in touch. We can travel the road to discovery together. Where do you live in AR? I am in Memphis, TN.
