I descend from John and Rebecca Barksdale? Gat es of early Rankin and Simpson Counties. They had four sons from whom there are many Gates in the Deep South and in Texas. Their sons were John Bedford, Morgan, and Collier. If you do not have this line and want it, I can send you a gedcom for your book. Would love to see it included..
