Joseph & Harriet had the following children: 1. Rebbecca GATES b. 1834 2. William H. GATES b. 1839 3. Kephart GATES b. 1847 4. Alexander McClay GATES b. 1849 There may be additional children. All children were born in Pennsylvania. Alexander McClay GATES m. Hannah (UNKNOWN) 1869 in Hopewell, Bedford Co., PA. They had the following children: 1. Joseph Jackson GATES b. 1871 in Hopewell, Bedford Co., PA 2. Annie GATES b. 1874 in Hopewell, Bedford Co., PA 3.
