My name is Mary Catherine Coffee Fischer. I have been researching to join the DAR. I found his grave. He is in the plot of a family that has absolutely no relation to us. I believe it must have been donated by a member of the DAR when they moved him in the early 1900's. There is a DAR marker they placed when they moved him from his plantation. I was very upset because it was so hard to find him and his info. on the tombstone is inaccurate. I am going to try to do something to right the wrong. They had him mixed up with his cousin who was Andrew Jackson's right hand man in Tennessee. Will keep you posted. I will try to locate my info. on the name of the family plot he is in now. My husband found it by accident as we traversed the cemetery. Where are you living? I am in the greater Atlanta area. Would love to meet and share information. Nice to hook up with a cousin!
