I had the pleasure of meeting Womble several years ago, at Old McKinnon Cemetery. He drove down from Macon and spent the day with us. He didnot see the cemetery after I cleared it, but I did contact him and told him we had completed the work. 2009 was a sad time for Womble and his family.
