Glenwood Services for B.S. Calhoun Special to The Atlanta Journal (1951) VIDALIA, Ga., April 4--Benjamin Stuart Calhoun, 89, retired banker, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gaston Williamson, in Oak Park Sunday. Funeral services were held in Glenwood Baptist Church Tuesday, with the Rev. James D. Rabun, Baptist minister of Lyons, and the Rev. J.E. Hall of Glenwood officiating. The Masonic lodge of Glenwood served as an honorary escort. He had been a member of the Masonic order since 1884. Mr. Calhoun was one of the first trustees of Brewton-Parker Junior College and was organizer and president of the Farmers Bank in Glenwood in 1906. He was a member of the Baptist church. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gaston Williamson of Oak Park; a son, Dr. B.J. Calhoun of Baxley; 11 grandchildren, G.B. Williamson, Mrs. Kermit Phillips, Edward Williamson and Aubrey Williamson, all of Oak Park; Carolyn Williamson, Savannah; Bennie S. Williamson, U.S. Navy, Beaufort, S.C.; Bobbie J. Williamson, U.S. Army, Korea; Patsy Williamson, Oak Park; Mrs. John Roose, St. Simons Island; Mrs. D.Q. Harris, McRae; Mrs. Carl Felton, Orangeburg, S.C.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
