They say when you git old if you do Crossword puzzles and the like it helps prevent Alshiemers(?).. I believe Genealogy is an even better preventative...... I need to git to the library and look at a 1860 and 1870 GA Census index so I'll know where to look at Ancestry.com.. Their census info after 1850 isnt indexed and I aint got the patience to look thru a whole county worth of images.. I believe it's even slower than using a microfiche machine.. Seems to me that if the 1860 Census for Telfair Co, Ga. has ANDREW, age 40, with wife Susan, age 30, (and same kids as you show on 1880 Telfair Co. census) and they are living between two of Susan Studstill's brothers; then this is the guy who married Susan Studstill and his name would be Andrew, born about 1820... 1860 GA. Census, Telfair Co. 237/ 237 Lowery Andrew 40 M farmer GA. Susan 30 F GA. Tabitha 6 F GA. William 5 M GA. Joseph 3 M GA. Jonathan 1 M GA. Miller Thomas 41 M farm laborer GA 1880 Ga. Census, Telfair Co. Lowery, Susan age 44 GA Tabitha age 28 GA William age 27 GA Joseph age 17 GA Jonathan age 16 GA E. age 14 GA Also would be possible that this B. F. Lowery on the 1860 Pulaski Co Census could be Andrew's (b. abt 1820) mother???? 1860 GA. Census, Pulaski Co. (no one else in Household) 68/68 Lowery, B.F. 61F Housekeeping /1800 NC Only other Lowery in Pulaski Co in 1860: (none in 1850) 1860 GA. Census, Pulaski Co. 90/90 Lowery, Joseph J. 27m Atty 2000/10000 Ga Lowery, Martha J. 20f Wife Ga Lowery, John L. 20m Pupil Ga Lowery, Elizabeth 1f Ga This Joseph Lowery could go on to have a son Joseph born after the 1860 census??? There's just so many pieces still need to be put together right!!! This is going to be awhile in the solving....I probably cant make it to the library till next weekend.. So I'll put this on hold for now... Back at you later. Have a good week!! Bill
