Would they have two sons by the name of Andrew? Here's the problem I show with that: 1850 Laurens Co, GA census lists: LOWERY, Andrew age 65 Farmer (est. DOB 1785 ) Wife - Anjay (Angelany) age 55 (b. abt 1795 - actual date 19 Oct 1795 GA) son - ELI J. - age 22 (b. abt 1828 - 1830) son - H. Russell age 19 ( b. abt 1831 - actual date 07 Jun 1831 Laurens Co, GA) dau - W?y - age 16 (b. abt 1835 Dublin, GA) -[name Willy?] dau - Sarah - age 14 (b. abt 1836 Dublin, GA) Oldest son I show for Andrew and Angelany was ANDREW LAWSON LOWERY (b. abt 1819 Jefferson Co, GA). He was married 03 Nov 1846 to Malinda (or Matilda) E. McLendon. Jeremiah M. Lowery was also a son, b. 18 Oct 1822. Do not have the date he married Mary Ameri Vaughn, but also must have been before the 1850 Census. Since the 1850 census has him listed as ELI J. Lowery, and they already had a son named Andrew Lowery (Andrew Lawson), it would seem Eli Jackson Lowery is correct. Do you have access to an 1860 Census for this family? Is he listed as Andrew or Eli? Since he was killed in the civil war, was he listed as Andrew or Elijah? There are many Andrews in this Lowery family, so it's easy to get them confused. Someone else has him listed as Elijah Andrew Jackson Lowery. What civil or Bible records do we have to verify either name? I would really appreciate some help on this. Jan
