    3. Looking for any information on a Tollie B. Wade. He died in Dec 2001 and was living in McRae GA. It is my understanding he had a barber shop there as did his father before him. He fought in WWII and was an army buddy to my father who is seeking information on him. Does anyone know of him or any of his family? Thanks for any information that you can provide. Laura

His first wife (my grandmother) was Wade Hampton Cook, born December 1, 1902 and died on February 15, 1979, they were married on June 2, 1918 in McRae, GA. Their children were Helen Lois, born April 22, 1919, Josephine Della, born December 28, 1920, Alberta (Berta) Phyllis, born October 10, 1922, Ernest Thomas, born October 23, 1926, Myrtle Harriett, my mama, born November 23, 1928, Bobby Gary, born November 16, 1932, Wayne Eugene, born February 5, 1937 and Patricia Ann, born August 21, 1939. Anyone who might have information on where the Barber family and/or who their spouses were and were they may have come from and who their ancestors are would be greatly appreciated. Bowen's" in Telfair County during this time frame. There was even two men, George Washington Bowen, in the same regiment in the Civil War. It is difficult to get them all straight. How are you related to the Bowen's in Telfair? My thinking is that somehow they were all related somehow. I just don't know how. So you didn't mess up at all.

    2. Can anyone on the list tell me if George B Sheffield and Dora Williams Sheffield had children. Dora died 1967, born 3/8/ 1894 in giles co va . Dora lived in McRae for several years before her death. I do not know the date of George's death although he passed before Dora. Thanks, Ron Crowder
