    2. When a person files for twelve months support; does that mean that they have filed with the county or state for help. Like Elizabeth Sanders files for twelve months support for herself and five minor children. Is this against her deceased husband's estate or to the county and state? Any Help appreciated. Emma

    2. Looking for information on homestead exemption. What is the meaning of that? This was applied for in 1879 for a family in Telfair County. Does that mean that if they were given the exemption they would not have to pay taxes? How would we know if they were approved for that exemption? Thanks for any expertise on this matter. Emma

    2. Looking at an obituary for one of my Thompson relatives who died in 1939 and it tells me he was buried in Sweet Home Cemetery. I have looked in all of Georgia and cannot find a listing for Sweet Home Cemetery. Can someone tell me what county that was in? He had an accident in Baxley and died in a Jesup hospital and was born in Dodge County. Funeral was in Helena, internment in Sweet Home Cemetery. Can someone help here? thanks, Emma

The maps at Map Quest and FindaGrave show it in Laurens Co. where hwy 165 goes from Dodge Co into Laurens and then right back into Dodge. They show the Cem right beside the Hwy in Laurens Co.
