I had tried the only telephone # I had for you with no luck. Some years ago mother was in Hawkinsville at a reunion and I know Razz was there. She took a notebook with her at my request and I know Razz wrote in the book as did several others. I wish I could say that I have found Alexander's father;I will continue to search until the last minute. I am going to try to determine all the possibilities. A male cousin consented to a DNA test for me and I feel certain that Richard Bowen in Boston about 1638-1640 is our ancestor. We do match a few who seem to be connected with Richard and many other Bowens have been ruled out. Unfortunately not many of Richard's descendants have been tested. I've finally decided I needed to at least record all of Alexander's descendants that I could. I probably have 100 pages now and have not completed adding information nor have I scanned any pictures etc. yet. I have a photo of Lucius and Annie with Archie and Sally, my grandparents. I am having trouble with the soft wear program that I am using but I'll get it right soon, I hope. I am calling and searching diligently as I have very little else to do. I've emailed quite a few so don't recall exactly what I told you. I have published two family histories-one 700 pages and one 500 . I sincerely hope to publish this one, if so it will be hard back and sewed not glued. If you need a vacation you are welcome to visit me in Macon and we will do further research. I do plan a trip to Telfair, Dodge, & Wheeler counties. I may be emailed directly at htwtsn@gmail.com or reached at 478-992-9113. My mailing address is 224 N. Rivoli Farms Dr., Macon 31210. Any addresses or phone #'s would be most helpful as in the past I have sent everyone I had addresses for a few pages for them to correct or to add anything further. Was "Razz" a nick name or really his name? Who was Richard L.? Do you have siblings? I would like to add more on Morris' family. I have found some information on the internet and talked with Karen, well I think it was Karen without looking at my notes. I do not wish to include information that anyone wishes excluded. I'm also willing to include add present day descendants but do not particularly want to include young children who may have more siblings born. Added them at the last minute is a headache but I will if asked to do so Almost forgot, one of the Greer family in Kentucky wanted to know how to locate, Lisa Bowen. I know she was married to a Prince at one time. I've been calling the ones in Warner Robins, Macon area to try to locate her. Any suggestions. Next email I'll refer to print out so that I can ask more questions. I'm so so glad to be in touch with you. Am currently working on our family in hopes of publishing a hard back book on children of Alexander and Frances.I first talked with my grandfather, Archie, son of George Washington Bowen, about 1956-57. Being only a teenager, I did not ask enough questions. I have continued to work on this family off and on. I have published two family histories-one 700 pages and one 500 pages. I have numerous pages on G. W.'s descendants and have some on sisters, especially the one who married a Minix. Please, please call me at 478-992-9113 or email me at htwtsn@gmail.com. I have very little on Wm C. except the name of two children. I need as many contacts as possible since I like for relatives to review information I have included on their family for corrections or comments in order to be as accurate as possible. Would like pictures of William and his children if they exist. I look forward to hearing from you. Helen Watson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Have picture of Lucius and Archie and their wives at one of the events. Sons and daughters of Lucius often attended too. Have researched for 40 years off and on and made many trips to Telfair, Tattnall, etc. counties. At age 72, it's time for me to complete it as much as possible with hopes of publishing a hard back book if there is enough interest. I have published two others family histories-one 700 pages and the other 500 pages. Have about 100 pages thus far and not all of the information is on computer yet. Have some pictures, but would like pictures of all children of Lucius. Also would like copies of any pictures of brothers and sisters of Archie and Lucius. I have one of brother Bob. Also of two probable Bowen girls which are unidentified and am working on trying to obtain others. I am aware of the census records you listed and of how much or how little information was given in the census records. I am also aware that they are not necessarily accurate. However, from the land records I have seen it is possible that the Hilliards, for example, came from NC. There are records of a Dennis Hilliard owning land in Cumberland Co., NC. I have looked as records for Laurens Co., GA (and Telfair Co.). There is very little information I have found on Michael Conley, so far, in Laurens Co. 8 March 1816 Marriage of Michael Conley to Edna Greene in Laurens Co., GA 18 Oct 1816 Selected as Juror in Laurens Co. Jun 1820 Same Jun 1825 same 24 Mar witness to a sale of land from Henry Dominy (probably Dorminy) and Nathan Mettze of Laurens Co. Sep 1832 Listed in Inventory of the estate of Robert Coats in Laurens Co. Sep 1832 Listed in the probate records for the estate of Levi Nobles Oct 1832 Listed as the defendant in a court case in Laurens Co. Dennis Hilliard was also listed in court records in Laurens Co. in the same instance as Michael Conley. Both were to receive money from the estate of Levi Nobles in Sep 1832 Both Dennis Hilliard and Michael Conley consistently list NC as their birth state and I am inclined to pursue this lead (not fact) until I find evidence that proves otherwise. I have found no evidence (yet) to show that Michael Conley was in Laurens Co. before 1816 when he married Edna Greene there. There is strong evidence (per Elizabeth Shown Mills) that many families would migrate in groups from the same area to a new location. I was only wondering if anyone had done research on the families I listed and determined where they were from in NC. My hypothesis is that they may have traveled together.
