I wondered if anyone might help with more identification of these schools and also their teachers. This was in Sept 2005 Taylor Tracer. A.S. Wallace announced the teachers for the County --- with school for 5 months to begin at least by 4th Monday in Oct. Virginia, Last week I typed and posted the marriage announcement for Mattie Julia Vanlandingham. She was the teacher of the Howard school. Mattie was the daughter of Peter Frank Vanlandingham and Ida England. I've located the following information about Mattie and her family in the Taylor County Archives.
