Help me figure out the correct initials on this deed. The handwriting is so easily confused when it is "S" or "L". Who would this person be -- 1864? Who was George (the dec'd) pg 552 Taylor County Deed Book B Received of J. C. McCants, my Guardian, the sum of four hundred and fifty seven 39/100 and also two negro slaves to wit: Mahala, a girl, about 17 years old, and Wash,her child, a boy about 3 years old. The said Negroes and money came into the hands of said J.C. McCants, as Guardian aforesaid from the estate of George R.
