Gaultney, was together with his family, visiting at the home of Mr. Hancock at the time of the storm with its fearful result. The Hancock home will be better remembered as the Kit Hinton place, five miles north of Butler and now owned by Mr. L.F. Peebles. Does anyone know if Kit is a nickname or the given name of Kit Hinton ? Thank you Lillian Hinton Dickinson

    3. Does anyone know if this is (Serena Ann Watson Youngblood)? And would she and her husband be one of the adult unmarked graves in the Mt. Olive church cemetery? The Taylor Tracer pg 19 July 2005 After a long and patient illness Mrs. Ann Youngblood passed into rest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Edwards, near here. (Pottersville). The interment was in the Pottersville cemetery on Monday, Aug 8. Mrs. Youngblood was an old and honored resident of this vicinity and highly esteems by countless friends. She leaves seven children besides many other loved ones to mourn their loss. I think this is Serena Ann because Essie's book listed: 1900 Census Taylor Co. Youngblood, Andrew 72 Ann (Serena Ann Watson) 65 m. 1855 Ida 37 m. James Edwards? James C. 23 m. Mary F. Childree Minnie L. m. Alfred H. 1. July Taylor Tracer here!
    2. Virginia Crilley
    3. I always let the Taylor Co list know when my Taylor Tracer arrives, so you all know to expect it. Notify John Adams, if your copy has not arrived. The feature this month is on the 59th GA Regiment, and Co C. "Arthur Greys". As always John Adams does a thorough job with the history so you learn much helpful information about the War in general....Gen Grant, McClellan, Robert E. Lee. He uses articles from the Macon Daily Telegraph to give first hand accounts of the 59th Regiment. You truly feel like you were with them at the very time it was taking place. (In fact the August issue will continue with more of this) The abstracts are from The Butler Herald beginning Aug 9, 1910 through Feb 7, 1911. You're sure to find something about your family in some of these. The very thoughtful discussion of the WWII framed listing of Taylor Countians which was given by Sybil Willingham to the County Commissioners recently is printed. This was published in the Butler Herald June 16, 2005, and I'm so glad to be made aware of it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~gatchgs/index.htm You'll find an index of ALL the issues of the Tracer over the years. This will give you an idea of just how much work has already been covered. Don't forget to check with your local library and encourage them to subscribe to this as well. Membership ($20) Sponsor $50 Memorial $100 All include monthly 40 pg newsletter "Taylor County Tracer" Mail dues to: Jacquelyn P. DeLong P.O. 1925 Butler, GA 31006
