I have a picture to share of Mitch Hobbs and family. His wife was Sara Eugenia Pridgeon-sister to my "Jerry" (James Jeremiah Jackson) children of James Ruffin and Sara Eugenia Hamilton. He was Enoch Mitchell Hobbs born 11 Nov 1866 Talbot Co Ga murdered 30 Apr 1930 Concord, Sumter, Ga. He married4 Nov 1890 Taylor Co. Ga. Sara was born 3 Mar 1870 and died before 1913. They had at least - the following children General C 8 Aug 1891 Anne Bell 2 Feb 1895 Walter C a 1895 Willie Martin 9 Mar 1899 Americus Times-Recorder dated Sunday May 4 1930 stating the E M Hobbs at Concord had been shot four times in the body with a pistol and once in the head with a shot gun. It stated that he was buried 2 May at the Bethlehem Church in Macon County. Survived by one daughter, Mrs Childre, of Americus; three sons, W M of Americus, W C of Montezuma and G C of Fort Valley; three brothers, G W Hobbs of Reynolds, H M of Ideal and L F of Ideal and one sister Mrs Betty Barfield of Fort Valley.     3. Virginia It looks like one of a series of quit claim deeds for the land. The 1/5 refers to Elijah Watson being one of 5 heirs to this land. A.J. Youngblood would be his brother in law and Serenia Watson his sister. That accounts for 2 of the 5 heirs. Michel Watson Julius Watson and Willis Watson are also relatives. If you trace the land through tax digests, deeds, or estates you should be able to find whose estate they are inheriting. You may have to go back into Marion county records after the 1845 fire. Look at the 1850 Marion county Georgia census. Michel Watson and Julius Watson look like heirs 3 and 4. Willis may be #5. The owners in 1827 were: District 12 lot 43 Nathan Jones, Upson County, Coupers district District 12 lot 53 John G. I understand that she had no property, and funeral expenses will be applied for, but I haven't a bill for same yet, as she was visiting out of the county at the time of her death.
