Taken from the collections of notes by the late Lula Gunn Moore for the C. S. A. graves in Taliaferro County. Lula took this list from an article dated Sept 18th, 1897. Lula (1867 - 1948) was the first paid curator of the Alexander Stephen Historical Site and gathered so many little things for the Historical society of Taliaferro County and the home of Alexander Stephens. She was the daughter of William Robert Gunn and Emily Emma Dickson. -------------------------------------------------------------- At a meeting of the the Confederate Veterans of Taliaferro County the following resolution was adopted Resolved that we appoint an old Confederate Veteran in each Militia Dist. to aid the Ladies Memorial Association in the collecting funds for the confederate Monument now under contract to be erected on the court house square.
