Got this inquiry, and as usual I need better minds than my own to answer it (brain cells are the victim of two young kids and another one on the way...) Any way to tell if this gentleman practiced with Stephens? Jason ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jenny Cummins <jennycummins@gmail.com> Date: Jan 9, 2006 6:41 PM Subject: robert simms burch To: fergusonjason@gmail.com Dear Jason, I am taking a year long genealogy course at the University of Washington here in Seattle an am researching my great-great grandfather, Robert Simms BURCH, as well as his daughter, Isora Burch HARDAWAY. In the 1840 census, Robert S. Burch is listed as living in District 601, Taliaferro County, GA. Family lore has it that he studied law with Alexander Stephens in Crawfordville, GA before the war. My great grandmother was born in 1844, perhaps in Crawfordville, GA as well. I would be very grateful if you could point me in any direction to see if I could find out the truth of the family lore or to find out where my g-grandmother was born. Feel free to respond to this email: jennycummins@gmail.com Sincerely, Jenny F. Cummins
