Is anyone researching POSS in Taliaferro and Wilkes County, Georgia? I would like to do a little research on this family for my aunt by marriage who is stilling in Greene County, Georgia, at slightly over 90 years old who has lived all of her life in the area, but did not seem to recall much about her family when I visited her last summer. I found her on the Taliaferro County, Georgia census along with some of her brothers and sisters. I need her mother's maiden name. Corry F. Poss b. c. 1882 m. Lori/Lola [_?_. Also need parents of Corry F. Poss. I did not seem to find a marriage in either Wilkes or Taliaferro County (published and/or online)to fit this couple. She also talked about a "Big Henry" Poss, several marriages, at least two, for either her father or grandfather and lots of children. The names on the census are not always what they were known by in the family and that confuses things.
