I"m so delighted to report that I have heard from two people regarding two of the cemeteries I posted yesterday -- Howell, and King (Rev Soldier) We plan to work on brief bios for each of these men. I think that creating a simple outline of a person's life is sometimes the easiest way to have people really identify if this is "their man". I also think this is a way to honor our ancestors. You don't need to be some important Judge or Captain to deserve a bio --- everyone who lived in this county contributed in some way to its history. I'd be glad to work with anyone on this. I don't make them elaborate, but since I've worked with lots of people already in other counties on creating something like this, please, don't hesitate to let me work on one with you. What I've learned about Taliaferro County is that there are many inter-related families. So when we list daughters we just may make an important connection with another family that is already posted on-line. That's the fun of genealogy -- the missing pieces coming together!
