Glenna, Did you find your info about Jesse H. Dismukes? I have some information, but will have to look it up if you need it. John Finney Dismukes was the son of Finney Dismukes who was the son of John Dismukes, b. 1725. d. 1818. I can't remember out of my head the exact details, but I think Jesse was the son of Gillian Cooper and another Dismukes. Don't believe the Jesse Dismukes in the Revolutionary War Soldiers of GA. The DAR mixed it up in the second edition with Jesse Doles and John (the above) Dismukes information. I know this information is John's because it's verbatim out of his obituary in 1818 GA newspaper. The SAR and a lawyer in Atlanta have written the wrong info into two more books since then. The first DAR book had John Dismukes and Jesse Doles both of Baldwin Co. at the time. Jesse was right below John in the first DAR edition ( 1936 I believe). Let me know and if you still need info on him. Judy
