I have located a William DRENNON (sp) b. in SC in 1830 in Talbot Co., GA, page323, then again in 1840 in Talbot Co. GA on page 204, this time it is spelled William DRENNING.I haven't as yet checked on these to be certain they match with the stats of his children. We believe they had older daughters Susannah, who m. William R. GRIMES in 1851 in Talbot co, and then daughter Jane who m. Wm FAGAN in 1853, also in Talbot co. We believe that Jane is the same as Jane DRENIAN shown living in the household of Stephen GRIMES in the 1850 Talbot County census.Don't know how these 2 Grimes fit as yet?? When Wm Drennan and his family are on the 1850 Muscogee county census, he and Jane are both ca 50 years old, both b. in SC and he is a carpenter. They have Nancy 16 years old, Ann is 14, born in Talbot Co., John is 12 and Betsy is 8, also born in that same county. Caty (Catherine) is 4, born in Harris county and Peggy is 2 and Bartie is 1 and both born in Muscogee county. As you can see, they are migrating toward the west and finally end up for the first time in Panola county, Texas in 1853 where David Drennan was born. William and Jane had 2 more children, David and Isabella born 1855 in Texas. But I have been unable to locate where his wife died or either of their death dates. By 1870 Wm is dead and I have some deeds where his estate is being divided/sold among the children. One shows Isabella DRENNAN and Susan GRIMES of Panola Co., TX selling a share of the land. Another shows Jane M. FEAGAN of GA selling her share of the land to L.W. MILLSAP who married their sister in Panola co. Does anyone recognize any of these families? Would like to share and trade data. Thanks!
