From what I can tell, the GRIMES, DRENNANS and REEDY's came from Edgefield County, SC and other western parts of SC before coming to GA. The FEAGINS appear to have been in Fauquier County, VA, then Moore COunty, NC, where the county seat about 1780-90 was named FEAGINSVILLE, before being changed to Carthage. They were then in Marlborough COunty, SC, before coming to Jones COunty, GA, Some went to AL about 1830 before coming back to GA. I know that some of the DRENNANS, GRIMES, and REEDYS went on to Panola County, TX. As to McHUGH, have you checked the Wilmington, NC area? Many of the Scots came in through that port. THere is a list Cape Fear Scots that you might be interested in. I will look up the sign up info if you are interested. Thanks for writing. Zou
