Funeral services were conducted from Leverette Hill Baptist Church in Warm Springs. Dec. 1 with Rev. T. W. Neal officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Favors, son of Ms. Mary Alice Favors and Mathis Terry was born April 8, 1965 in Meriwether County. He was a member of the Leverett Hill Baptist church, where he served faithfully until his health began to fail. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Erica Regina Favors; mother, Ms. Mary Alice Faors of Manchester; father, Mathis Terry of Manchester; one sister, Ms. Serita Terry of Warm Springs; two brothers, Freddie Pope of sylacauga, Alabama, and Terrence Weaver of Atlanta; grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Lee Terry of Manchester, mother-in-law Mrs. Orphelia Buchanan of Hampton; father-in-law, Curvin Buchanan, Jr. of Manchester; three godchildren Kiwaa, Malik, and Kishawnie Carter, all of Woodland; one sister-in-law Daphne (Dane) Bernard of Washington, D.C.; two brothers in-law, Marcus (Kimberly) Copeland of Talbotton, and Cedric (Sonia) Martin of Fort Gordon; one very special cousin, Vex Farley of Manchester; a special person in his life, Walter Turner, Sr., of Manchester; eight nephews, seven nieces, a host of aunts, cousins and friends. Mrs. Johnnie Bell Dozier Leonard Feb. 27, 1909 - Nov. 28, 2000 Talbotton: Mrs. Johnnie Bell Dozier Leonard, 91, died Nov. 28. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 3 at Powell Missionary Baptist church in Talbotton with Rev. alfred McCrary officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Leonard was born in Talbot County, the daughter of the late John and Sally Dozier. She was a member of Powell Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mary F. Leonard and Nellie P. Hinton, both of Talbotton, three sons, John Lee (Louise) Leonard and Jessie J. (Julia) Leonard, both of Talbotton, and J. C. (Pearl) Leonard of Woodland; three sisters, Bessie McCrory, Jenny Willis and Rosa Lee Dozier; one brother, Clarence (Annette) Dozier; 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and hephews and a host of relatives and friends. She was the widow of Cliff Leonard, Sr., and was preceded in death by one son, Leon Leonard and one grandchild whom she raised as her own, Eddie Frank Leonard. McDougald Funeral Home of Butler was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Luester Mitchell Dec. 7, 1912 - Nov. 28, 2000 Junction City - Mrs. Luester Mitchell, 89, died Nov. 28 at The Medical Center in Columbus. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 2 at First Baptist Church in Junction City with interment at The Rock C.M.E. Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born to the late Ben and Sarah Jones. She graduated 8th grade in Talbotton. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Paniauga of Roberta, Elaine (Tommy) Phillips of Atlanta, and Biece (Robert) Alsobrook of Butler; one son, Lester Mitchell of New York City; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Noble Mitchell, two sisters, Corina Parham and Ruth Grant, and one brother, Adam Jones. McDougald Funeral Home of Butler was in charge of arrangements.
