Is there any reference to him in the Will Book? His wife was Matilda Jones. They had a daughter Jane Priscilla Matthews who married Alexander Gordon Bullock. The Talbot County Web Site indicates that he was an early resident of the Ypsilanti Community laid out in 1825. That's the only reference that I have found to him in the county.
