    3. Talbotton New Era Friday, Sept. 15, 2000 Paul L. Searcy, Jr. May 5, 1958 - Sept. 4, 2000 Talbotton: Paul L. Searcy, Jr. died Sept. 4. Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at Shady Grove Baptist church with Rev. F. R. Smith officiating. Interment was in Valley Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Leonard, Jr., Henry Gene Leonard, Anthony Lamar, John Allen Pinkston, Kent Searcy, Stanley Johnson, and Jeffrey Johnson. Mr. Searcy was born May 5, 1958 to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Searcy, Sr. in Talbotton. He joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at a very early age, attended Central High School and graduated in 1976. He had previously worked at Goody Products, Inc. in Manchester and Martha Mills in Thomaston. His last two jobs were at Delta Foods in Talbotton, which was part-time and Unimim Corp. in Junction City. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda Searcy, four children, Adazia Searcy, DeMario Marshall, Pareshia Searcy, all of Talbotton, and Ann Antagoes V. Searcy of Atlanta; mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Paul Searcy, Sr. of Talbotton; one brother, Michael (Mary Ann) Searcy of Manchester; two sisters, Ms. Wanda S. Williams and Ms. Calamity Searcy, both of Talbotton; mother and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Willie M. Hamler, Jr. of Shiloh; aunts and uncles, Mrs. Mary (Ike) Benney, Eddie (Lillian) Searcy, Mrs. Matie (James) Lamar, John (Annie) Pinkston, Howard (Fannie) Pinkston, Mrs. Clara Leonard, Lando Pinkston, Mrs. Gladys Gaines, Ms. Willie M. Searcy, all of Talbotton and James Pinkston of Gray, Mrs. Rosa (Ernest) Jarrett, Ms. Mattie J. Johnson, Mrs. Dorothy M. Deloach, Ms. Wyvonnia Johnson, Stanley Johnson and Jeffrey Johnson, all of Shiloh, and Mrs. Elaine (Jimmy) Traylor of Atlanta; grandparents in-law Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hamler, Sr. of Shiloh; two brothers-in-law william Hamle! r of Louisville, KY and Vernon Hamler of Fort Riley, Kansas; two nieces, Ms. Emeshiya Searcy of woodbury and Ms. Devondra Copeland of Manchester; one nephew, Marcus Searcy of Talbotton; four great aunts, two great uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. Leonard's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
