April 26, 1865 Here is what I have: Dr. James Hamilton Bryan, born March 30, 1836 in Talbot County, Georgia and died April 14, 1898 at Belleview, Talbot County, Georgia. He was the son of David W. Bryan and Mary Catherine Holmes. He married January 23, 1864 in Talbot County, Georgia Frances Elizabeth Holmes, his cousin, daughter of William Thomas Holmes and Mary Lucinda Owen. He graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1855. He studied medicine at the University of Virginia in 1858-1859 and in 1860 at a medical college in New York. He finished his medical training at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, getting his degree in 1861. Children of Dr. Bryan and his wife, Frances Elizabeth Holmes were: James Hamilton Bryan b. March 30, 1867 William Holmes Bryan b. May 31, 1868 David Bryan b. February 21, 1872 Baxter Turner Bryan b. May 7, 1873 Francis Ellison Bryan b.
