Faye, I am also researching the GRANT family of GA. Martha C. GRANT m Thomas James DOGGETT. I do not have dates for Thomas James and Martha, but 1920 Meriwether Co, GA census records show their son, Thomas DOGGETT, b 1849,in GA, mar Mary Eliza JENKINS, b Jan 1854. I have found the DOGGETTS in Upson Co, Clarke Co, Oglethorpe Co and Harris Co GA. I have nothing on the GRANT family except for the fact that Martha married Thomas James. He was born in GA and Martha in SC.(This is from the census and may not be correct) If you, or anyone else, know any of these names, I would love to hear from you.
