Hollingsworth, my great grandfather. George Hollingsworth was born in 1809 in Georgia. He married Elizabeth DOWDY, in Talbot Co, GA, on December 21, 1841. They were parents of eight children: M.A.; J.W.; M.J.; Francis; Henry; Kenard; J.T.; and E. James Arnold Hollingsworth was born September 26, 1824, Twiggs Co, GA., and died November 20, 1863. It is thought he was killed in Action in the Civil War and is buried near Atlanta, GA. He married Nancy DOWDY in Talbot Co, GA, on December 28, 1841. He married his second wife, Elizabeth HOWARD in Talbottom, Talbot Co, GA., March 18, 1849. There were five children: Laura; William; James Howard; Sarah; and Louisa.
