It is possible that I might be able to help you. Although John & Nancy are not in my direct line of descent, Nancy was a sister to my own 4th great grandfather and I've done considerable research on both families. There apparently is about a 3 or so year gap in the ages of John & Nancy's children per the censuses, that your Mary Ann could fill. I've found that generally the families had children about every 12-18 months. I've tried to account for wrong info being given to the census enumerators, and confused dates. Thing is, I have a marriage for Lewis McBryde to Mary Ann Childers or Childress in Talbot Co 11/26/1843, and still have not discerned what her exact maiden name was, nor whether she was the d/o John & Nancy.
