Tanya, I am a decendent of Jeptha C. Chambless and am researching the line. I don't know if Jeptha left a will or not but his wife Susan did. It was recorded in DeSota Co., Mississippi. Found this in Index of Mississippi Wills. Have not seen the will but an planning a reseaarch trip in the fall to Talbot Co. and also DeSota Co. Do you how long Susan stayed in Georgia after Jeptha was killed? or any information about their life there?Am willing to share any information I have.
