Retired Apr. 26, 1862. He was the son of Lewis D. Wimberly and Matilda Garrett Centerville, Talbot born February 8, 1826 and died January 8, 1896. He married Elizabeth Tabitha Breedlove on March 1, 1849 in Talbot. There were at least two children, Julia Wimberly and James Kimbrough. Burial: Centerville Cemetery Talbot County Wimberly.
