I recently visited the Bussey Cemetery near Talbotton, and one grave of a 'cousin' was that of William D. Bussey, a descendant of Nathan Bussey, Sr. (my ancestor). His grave lists his dates of birth/death, and that he was in Co. A of "Cobbs' Guards". I now believe that this was the 'nickname' of the 4th Georgia Infantry, or perhaps was just the nickname of his company in that regiment (i.e. the 10th Georgia Infantry, in which my ancestor Willis Cox Holt served as Captain, Major, Lt. Col., and finally Colonel had each of its 10 or so companies named with a nickname--his original company before being moved up to Regimental Staff Officer was the Co. C "Chattahoochee Beauregards".) A search of CSA soldiers named William Bussey shows 2 soldiers with this name from Georgia--one in the 4th Ga. Infantry (a private), and the other in the 46th Ga. Infantry (also a private), so I suspect, due to location (since the officers were from Talbot) that William D. Bussey, of the Co. A, Cobbs Guards was a member of the 4th Georgia. I hope that helps.
