My great grandfather, Calvin T. Spinks married Elizabeth Stripling and they lived in Union/Jones Crossroads in Harris County. It is believed that Calvin was originally from Talbot County. ANy information would be very much appreciated. (Their marriage date was 9/11/1856. Calvin's life :4/14/1829 - 3/11/1901. Elizabeth : 10/19/1839 - 1/1/1921). I am searching for information about the Spinks family as well. My mother was a Spinks and grew up in La Grange; she was the daughter of Blumer S. Spinks and Willie Viola Wilkins.
