Ruth gives us another one! It would be nice to get more info on these folks...and especially dates that are missing. Incidentally, I got the story of how our files came about. Jack Morgan and his crew surveyed the cemeteries and provided handwritten copied to Robert Torbert, who in turn created the data base that we have on our pages. There actually never was an "original" book done by individual cemeteries. Mr. Torbert sold his book for a while, but now there are no more copies. Even he doesn't have one. There is one copy in the Washington Memorial Library - 137 pages....so that will give you an idea about how much work Mr. Torbert put into this! He was so generous to give it all to the USGenWeb for publication on the Internet for all of us to use! 9 - Carlisle Cemetery - From junction of Hwy 41 and Hwy 36 south of Woodland turn right on Hwy 36 towards Columbus, GA and go 4.7 miles to Matthews Chapel Methodist Church, 0.1 mile past the church turn right on dirt road and go 1.5 miles to cemetery on left of road.
