    2. Hi Dianne, I noticed in your reply that you wrote about Sarah and Thomas Beach. I believe Sarah's maiden name was Hamill(Hamel or etc). Do you have anything on her family? Mt Gt Gt Grandmother Jane Hamill married Charles Howard in Upson Co. They moved to Talbot not long after they married and lived in the Roughedge District of Talbot Co. Four of their daughters married Pikes. Nearby by them in Talbot Co were other Hamills and one of those was a Methodist preacher that served onr or more churches in Talbot. I do not have proof of Jane being kin to the others but seems like she must have been. Thanks, Carol T. Watson Orange Park, Fl. 32073

    3. Posted on: Talbot County, Ga Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ga/Talbot/680 Surname: Hall ------------------------- Patsy, I have tried responding to your email but for some reason it returns to me. Maybe your email server doesn't like mine?? I can get them from you ok just can't send back to you. My connection to the Kellums are from my great-grandmother. She was Elizabeth Kellum Hallof Talbot Co. Here are names from her family. With census records these are the children of Mary and William Kellum that I have found: James (Big Jim) M. Kellum; William Thomas (Tom) Kellum; Annie Kellum; Charles (Charlie) Kellum; Walter P. Kellum; Mary (Mamie) Kellum; Elizabeth (Lizzie) O. Kellum; Carrie Lou Kellum; Clifford H. Kellum; Henry Edward (Eddie) Kellum; and Clara Jean Kellum. The 1900 Talbot County, Georgia Census reported that Mary Kellum was the mother of thirteen children, but only nine still living. I only have come up with eleven names. Guess maybe the other two died in infancy between censuses. My connection to the Hall family is through Elizabeth's husband, Arthur Lamar Hall. Here is what I have on his family. His grandfather was William T. Hall, born 28 August 1818, died 12 April 1885, married Eveline H. Beach 22 December 1840. Eveline was born 04 July 1823 and died 18 September 1901. Eveline was the daughter of Sarah and Thomas Beach and in 1860 William and Eveline's children were Frances E., 18; Thomas G.(Arthur's father), 15; Sarah A., 12; Martha S., 10; Amanda C., 8; John W., 4; and Benjamin M., age 2. The Archives has the 1870 Talbot County census information of Thomas Hall in the Roughedge District, page 149B and also on William Hall, page 149 A. Thomas Hall was 35 years old; Frances was 24 years, Jessie, 3; and William, age 1. William Hall and Evaline had living with them: Amanda, age 17; William, age 15; John, age 13; Lula, age 11; Emma, age 9; Catherine, age 4; Frances Dewberry, age 28 and Jefferson Dewberry, age 9. ( Lula Hall married John Pye 05 January 1887). I wonder since Arthur died in 1917 in Alabama if maybe Thomas was born in Ala & died there? I only have pictures of Elizabeth & her daughter Louise. No picture of Arthur that I have come across. Any help will be great. Diane

    3. I just found my gg...grandparents marriage in Hancock Co, 1811 and learned that they had spelled their name "Dickson". Thomas and Salatha Kensey Dickson (Dixon) moved to Talbot Co between 1830 and 1840. I am descended from their daughter, Epsey, who married William Spear in 1840. I think at least most of the following may also have been their children and would like more information if anyone recognises them: Dickson, Stephen married Frances B. Heath 19 Dec 1839 Martha Dickson married Eldridge Adams 23 Aug 1838 Areannah Dixon married John G. Heath 17 Jan 1850 Salatha D. T. Dickson married William A. Heath 23 Dec 1854 (with that given name she had to be named for her mother). Thanks for any information. Elaine Oakes

    3. Posted on: Talbot County, Ga Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ga/Talbot/676 Surname: Hall ------------------------- Hi Patsy, I am asking your help with some info. I am trying to find out what happened to Thomas Lamar Hall. He was the son of Arthur Lamar Hall & Elizabeth Kellum Hall. They were both from Talbot Co, Ga. I found a notation in a family bible that shows his birth date as Nov 18, 1900. This strikes me as odd because Arthur & Elizabeth weren't married til Dec 21, 1900 & the birth notation appears written after the one for their daughter Louise who was born April 24, 1904. In the obit of Arthur Hall it shows him with only a widow & daughter. Since he died in 1917 I assume that Thomas Lamar died as an infant or child. Any ideas?? I appreciate any help or suggestions.
