I travel to Georgia all the time because my Mom and Step-father as well as my brother and half-sister live in Georgia. Look forward to hearing from you. 2. Judy: thank you for your interest. Yes, I'd appreciate any information you can share on Jesse H. Dismukes. I am trying to figure out which Jesse in the census is the one I need to trace (see my previous posting). They are very similar and I can't seem to get a handle on the correct one. Maybe your data will set me on the right path. Glenna

    1. [GATALBOT] Re: Dismukes/Baldwin (c. 1845)
    2. Glenna, Did you find your info about Jesse H. Dismukes? I have some information, but will have to look it up if you need it. John Finney Dismukes was the son of Finney Dismukes who was the son of John Dismukes, b. 1725. d. 1818. I can't remember out of my head the exact details, but I think Jesse was the son of Gillian Cooper and another Dismukes. Don't believe the Jesse Dismukes in the Revolutionary War Soldiers of GA. The DAR mixed it up in the second edition with Jesse Doles and John (the above) Dismukes information. I know this information is John's because it's verbatim out of his obituary in 1818 GA newspaper. The SAR and a lawyer in Atlanta have written the wrong info into two more books since then. The first DAR book had John Dismukes and Jesse Doles both of Baldwin Co. at the time. Jesse was right below John in the first DAR edition ( 1936 I believe). Let me know and if you still need info on him. Judy

    1. [GATALBOT] DRENNAN, GRIMES, FEAGAN families in TALBOT CO. GA
    2. I have located a William DRENNON (sp) b. in SC in 1830 in Talbot Co., GA, page323, then again in 1840 in Talbot Co. GA on page 204, this time it is spelled William DRENNING.I haven't as yet checked on these to be certain they match with the stats of his children. We believe they had older daughters Susannah, who m. William R. GRIMES in 1851 in Talbot co, and then daughter Jane who m. Wm FAGAN in 1853, also in Talbot co. We believe that Jane is the same as Jane DRENIAN shown living in the household of Stephen GRIMES in the 1850 Talbot County census.Don't know how these 2 Grimes fit as yet?? When Wm Drennan and his family are on the 1850 Muscogee county census, he and Jane are both ca 50 years old, both b. in SC and he is a carpenter. They have Nancy 16 years old, Ann is 14, born in Talbot Co., John is 12 and Betsy is 8, also born in that same county. Caty (Catherine) is 4, born in Harris county and Peggy is 2 and Bartie is 1 and both born in Muscogee county. As you can see, they are migrating toward the west and finally end up for the first time in Panola county, Texas in 1853 where David Drennan was born. William and Jane had 2 more children, David and Isabella born 1855 in Texas. But I have been unable to locate where his wife died or either of their death dates. By 1870 Wm is dead and I have some deeds where his estate is being divided/sold among the children. One shows Isabella DRENNAN and Susan GRIMES of Panola Co., TX selling a share of the land. Another shows Jane M. FEAGAN of GA selling her share of the land to L.W. MILLSAP who married their sister in Panola co. Does anyone recognize any of these families? Would like to share and trade data. Thanks!

    2. Hello, I'm researching the Blythe family who lived in Junction City, Ga from the early 1900's until the 1940's. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone related to this family while researching the family for the past year. If you are related to Mary Neal Barnes who was married to William A. Blythe, would you please contact me? I would like to know if she had any pictures or information for the Blythe family that was passed down through her family after her death. Thank you, Carla Miles
