In the CHURCH CEMETERIES OF SPALDING COUNTY GA book produced by Myles Smith Jr. There is a stone recorded that was found at Union Baptist Church P.203 ALL that is recorded is G. Wilder This is the ONLY Wilder listed in this book of CHURCH CEMETERIES ONLY In the front of the book it gives this location as being the corner of Jackson & Jenkinsburg Rd's I have NO other info and have NO idea if this is who you are looking for, the larger city cemetery (Oak Hill) in Griffin has been recorded on line so I suggest you check it out. Good luck! -----Original Message----- From: ken wilder <[email protected]> To: GASPALDI <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Aug 16, 2011 8:58 pm Subject: [GASPALDI] George A. Wilder obit George Andrew (G.A.) Wilder was my great grandfather and he was born about 1872 in Butts Co. I am looking for any obit or burial information regarding George. He was living in Spalding Co. in the 1900 Census. His last child, Nora Mae Wilder, was born in 1908 or 1909. His wife was still living in Spalding Co. in the 1910 Census and was listed as a widow. Any help would be appreciated! From your posting I know you are looking for G. A. Wilder. I checked the Butts County Cemetery book, next door neighbor to Spalding and it list..........Addie Lou, Barney Lee, Collins, E.J., Ellie Ray, G. W., Martha Ann, Mary Florence, Quincey A., Roena R., Sadie Eva, Susan B. and William L. Wilder. Know they do not match the name you are requesting, but thought these names might be some relatives which might be some clue. For what its worth. Don Bankston
Thank you for the information on this stone. I may never find out for sure if that's the right one but it is certainly more than I have after several years of of searching. I have found one of his sisters in Oak Hill cemetery under her married name but no other relatives there. My family members seem to have bounced around the areas of the county lines of Butts, Spalding, Henry and Monroe. Are there any Bryants shown in that cemetery by chance? Once again, thank you for the help on this! In the same book CHURCH CEMETERIES OF SPALDING COUNTY GA P. 151 there is ONLY ONE John H. Bryant Jr. April 7, 1937 Sept 30,1941 buried @ Rehoboth Baptist Church Concerning G. Wilder listed below, I suggest checking the census records of the area and period, you may find him listed with an address ant it may very well be in the same location as the church. -----Original Message----- From: ken wilder <[email protected]> To: gaspaldi <[email protected]> Sent: Sat, Aug 20, 2011 9:00 pm Subject: Re: [GASPALDI] George A.
